“Helping people
is part of who I am”
After a very unsuited job in banking when I first left school, I decided to travel the world and lived in Australia for 5 years. After doing a bit more travelling, I returned home and finally re-trained and followed my passion for sport by becoming a personal trainer, specialising in Pilates and group exercise instruction to investment bankers in the city.
After 10 years in this industry and the looming feeling of burn out, I decided to change careers and began work in a men’s prison, running a men’s reading mentoring scheme. Quite a change! As you can imagine, I met people from all walks of life and over the past 12 years I have learned so much about not only myself but the human psyche in general. My students would seek me out to help with their problems and eventually I decided to embark on a 3 year higher diploma course in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
After I qualified as a hypnotherapist, I went on to gain advanced certificates in weight loss and past life regression. I spent three years training as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and a further 1 year at university to gain a first in my BA (Hons) in psychotherapy and counselling. I am also an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists).
I work in an Integrative way using different techniques for therapy. I currently work as a sexual violence counsellor working with rape, abuse, childhood trauma and PTSD and complex PTSD. I am a qualified EMDR therapist also training through the EMDR Academy.
I also gained my advanced diploma in Past life therapy which I have a great interest in.
I absolutely love helping people and I believe that helping people to achieve change and positivity within their lives is part of who I am. Whether it is in achieving your goals, ridding yourself of a phobia or habit, or simply finding out more about a past life.
